Don't Forget to Smell the Flowers

Well folks,

I'm having a good time in this "summer" we have in Ireland.   I really like the light into the evenings as it means Daddy and I go for walks with my dogs.

Ever since I was a flower girl I'm all about flowers!   I pick them off anything...

Make sure to give them a goof sniff...

And then I'll give you my feedback on the fragrance!

Ha ha! Just kidding they smelled nice so Daddy and I are picking them to make some Elderflower Wine this weekend!  He said he'd make me some lemonade instead :-(

I'm hoping for a good summer so I dress for the sun and hope it comes out!  Sometimes it does!

Now the observant ones of you may have noticed Grammie bought me some new kicks...  They are Flashy!

And I mean FLASHY - they each have about 6 multi-coloured lights that sparkle when I walk... I love them!

Dad and I clean out the back yard as well... he keeps telling me we'll go canoeing sometime but all I've seen so far is this patio!

But the best part of the night is when Daddy makes me dinner.  My favorite lately is corn!  I eat it straight from the cob!

Mommy thinks its weird that I like to eat it that way but I do... it is simply NUMMY!

So with the walking and cleaning and eating... I hope we're off to a good summer... I've more exploring to do!

Fake Flower Girl Lulu

Well folks,

I had a great week my first week home in Ireland as I went to my Uncle Paul & my NEWAunt Kirsty's wedding a a "flower girl".  Mom says I was not really a flower girl I just got to wear the same dress as the older girls but take a look at this toosh... I look like a flower girl to you now don't I?

IMG_2787

I'd say it took me hours to get ready but I'd be lying.  Mom stuck me in the car in my tights and we drove to the church parking lot where she put my dress on - she said she didn't chance me & white for longer than 10 minutes.  I wasn't a big fan of the tights - they are not comfy things!

IMG_2770

Uncle Paul was getting ready to - he couldn't wait to get to the church to get hitched!

IMG_2776

I was really excited to get the church on time as well to make sure I didn't miss the big show.   Here I am with my escorts...

IMG_2780

Daddy and I had to take a special picture - he said he'd wait a few more years before he walks me down the aisle in white!

IMG_2790

I couldn't wait to show my Nana how cute I looked!

IMG_2799

We decided we clean up pretty good!

IMG_2804

During the wedding I made sure to be quiet so I could get a good view...

IMG_2813

And just like that - sealed with a kiss - I have a new Auntie!

IMG_2819

Not too sure how fond I am of this kissin' business....

IMG_2821

After the ceremony was over I made sure to sit with my buddies!

IMG_2885

My friends made sure that I had a good time!

IMG_2887

We ran around for awhile but man, this flower girl business sure is hard work!  I was thirsty...

IMG_2890

And a little tired....

IMG_2866

We tried to get a family photo taken but I was crabby and we couldn't find someone who could use a fixed lens!

IMG_2871

I told my friends that I'd have to catch them later.... and I dozed off!

IMG_2898

It was a lot of fun!  Congrats Paul & Kirsty!

Leavin' on a Jet Plane (again)

Well folks,

I thought I had a wonderful time in the states seeing everyone! I got to meet a whole bunch of my cousins at my Grandma Mary's funeral - she sure would have been amazed to see everyone together! I want to give a special shout out to my favorite Aunt Nicole - sorry Alissa and Kirsty but anyone who can watch me for a day and even lets me sleep on them all day gets the current "favorite" status!

Untitled

Favorite Uncle status will be decided by who feeds me the most chocolate - not sure who is currently winning that vote so I'll make this face to decide a while longer!

On the way back home to Ireland we flew through Chicago and boy did I love not being in the nasty International Terminal for once! We finally were in the normal terminal for our 6.5 hour layover and I had a blast playing in the kids park! Stella and I could not wait to get into the big airplane to play...

And they had really cool tents to play in!

 Untitled

I made sure Stella didn't miss out and made her board the plane by herself..

 Untitled

With all that playing I made sure to take a nap so I wouldn't miss out on the big airplane ride home... Mom was hoping I wouldn't nap but I couldn't resist!

 Untitled

You maybe wondering how I was on the flight home... I of course was a perfect little Lulu - although Mom seems to have a slightly different take saying there was an hour on the flight where my evil twin "Cruella De Dunne" came to visit - I have no idea what she's talking about, I mean look at that face who could ever not love it!

Untitled

When I arrived back in Ireland I was so excited to see Daddy the jet lag didn't even bother me! I stayed up all day playing until about 5:30 when Mom gave me dinner turned around and when she looked back, well I don't quite remember!

Untitled

So folks, it was a great trip to the States and I couldn't wait to get home... but don't worry where this Irish Girl's Heart lies... I'll always be an American!
