Flying Frogs

Well people,

Guess what I did last week?  I took Mommy, Daddy and Lulu to America for my birthday week!   We were really good on the airplane....

Untitled

When we arrived we went to Granny Lulu's house to play with all her toys.  Lulu really likes Granny Lulu's house as it is one big doll house!

Daddy and Lulu wanted to go outside and play in the snow.   Mom said I wasn't able to walk yet and even with this cane I still couldn't go.  Poor Me.

Lulu LOVED the snow she stayed outside for at least an hour!

She also really liked exploring Granny Lulu's yard.

The next day we finally arrived at Grammie and Boppa's where CinderLuella took us to eat at Daddy's favorite breakfast place!

And guess who showed up?  All my family (missing Nicole who is doing taxes poor An'Cole)!

Even Molly Rose came along to play with me.... she can walk though so I'm a bit jealous.  Mom says it won't be long now!

We had Daddy's favorite lunch - bratwurst!  And we even let him sit at the kids table... lucky Daddy!

We tried for a group photo but two of the 4 cousins were not co-operating.

However you don't have to ask me to say cheese twice!

Later we went to the park to play and wow is Derek one cool cousin!  He loved sliding down with me (unlike my sis who refused!)

Uncle JJ and Molly Rose liked playing hide & seek.

And Uncle JJ & Lulu had races at the slide!

But the slide winner prize has to go to Derek - he is one crazy slider!

And the static hair award to scraggles!

Me, well let's just say I found a chair & chilled.

When we got back to Grammie's & Boppa's we put up a flag for Easter.

And guess who came to Grammie's the next day a bit early?  THE EASTER BUNNY!  Were these two kids excited to find all the eggs!

Molly & I preferred to play with blocks...

And compare bellies!

After lunch Grammie had a tea party...

AND FORGOT TO INVITE ME!!!!!

Luckily Boppa came to save the day & gave me some tea.   It was a tie between Derek & I as to who ate the most cookies!

So that's me flyin' off to the States & Flyin' high in my froggy gear!  Can't wait for the rest of the holidays!

Janey

A Leprechaun, A Painter & A Princess Dog Maker

Well People,

March started out really fun as Mom showed me how to paint. Well not so much as showed me but just let me do my own thing. Really Mom you want me to make a mess?

5 secs later.... NO PROBLEMO MOMMA! Gotta make sure to get some in my hair!

Now you see me? Now you don't!

Pablo Picas-Who? No artist has anything on me...

Until bath time that night, when Mom found Lulu on the couch like this. Hmmm... my artist, hippie, bohemian style needs some work compared to my sister!

Most days in contrast Lulu is dressed as a princess. Sometimes she pretends to be "Rapunzel" in her tower...

Other times it is best just not to ask questions! Given I've only had 2 bottles in my whole life Lulu only saw Momma do this once! But I guess formula doesn't cut it for her babies!

But princesses we are and Lulu has learned how to turn me into one as well. She just grabs her magic wand...

And biddibi bobbidi bo.... Janey's a princess too!

However no one, and I mean no one, is a happy as a girl in a princess dress as Lulu is!

So I decided to try and give it a go. I studied the princesses in her collection...

Grabbed myself a magic "wand" and...

Bibiddi Bobbidi DOG

Lulu was even quite impressed with my skills. She came over to inspect my style...

And with only a slight adjustment on crown placement a princess dog was born! Dixie just went up about a billion notches in her status around here!

And finally Mom says March is a fun month when you're Irish.  She says that there really is no other country in the world that has 1 day of the year that everyone wants to be like us! That day finally arrived and I was so happy!

So was Lulu as her teachers told her to wear green, well you don't have to tell Lulu twice - she had her outfit ready from the night before. Just look at those dimples - she was happy!

A pair of wee lil'o'leprechauns we were!

And just in case you need one more up close & personal...

For the actual St Patrick's day we went to Kilkenny to watch the parade.

And Mom even let us ride the merry-go-round (she couldn't get a photo of me as we were on the horse next to Lulu).

We had a great day however if we had to vote Irish parade vs American - these two Irish girls will go to a candy-throwing American parade any day of the week!

And with that, we left Lulu at Nana's for a few days and headed back up home for some relaxing time... not that I ever need an excuse!

Janey

Janey of the Junger Chunks

Well People,

I think the time has come when a baby must say goodbye to the most comfortable seat in the world.  You see my bum has been "bottoming out" for a good month now and although I've been way past the weight limit for months, my arms just don't really fit in any more.   So before I said goodbye Mom let me have one more snooze!

I woke up about 5 minutes later as the blood loss to my limbs was making me all tingly!   Other news, we'll I've been going to "school" since the start of January when Mom went back to work and guess what?   Did you know they make things to drink out of that aren't bo-bos?  I didn't either, but I found out from the other kids how to use this cup and I love it!  (Mom likes it even more!)

I really like to eat these days. I will eat anything. Let me re-phrase, my "teachers" have yet to find a food that I will not eat. Mom and Dad have not succeeded so far... I literally will eat ANYTHING. I say the more the merrier - get in my belly!

I also am a really good helper to Mom. We do laundry together.... I make sure to get as much as possible on my outfits from eating dribbles to dirt on my knees and then she washes them, folds them, puts them into a laundry basket before I take them out to rub a bit of dirt back on them.  I mean clean is way overrated people.

But don't worry Mom! My knee marks are almost over as I'm learning how to walk! I love to stand up on my feet and try to do so as much as possible!

I need to learn how to walk too as both Daddy and Lulu can not only walk but they ride their bikes everywhere! Mom even lets Lulu ride her bike around in circles in our family room (mainly as there has not been a dry day since Christmas so far). And Daddy?  Well we went to Mondello this weekend to watch him race his "motorbike" around. I made sure to give him a good pep talk before the race...

Lulu gave him some thumbs up for good luck!

It was a bit cold but we wanted to be sure to see him start. For those of you who don't know this is the 8hr charity race on Honda 50s they do every year!  A family photo before they were off!

Lulu watched from the control tower!

And I said "Oh my goodness Daddy what are you doing!"

It was a fun day and since Uncle Paul was racing with Daddy, Ellie came to visit us. I was a bit better behaved this time for the cousins photo! (But not by much!)

Wow, with all that racing, I've been inspired. So I decided to watch the Olympics... Mom says I should choose a winter sport, train in the states and compete for Ireland. She gives me a good chance of getting to the Olympics for Ireland (not so much as an American). Maybe the 1st Female Bobsledding team... Lulu let's go to the SLIDES!

Nah, says Lulu who has much higher ambitions of becoming a princess someday! Here she is at Abby's 2nd birthday party! Mom didn't let me go as she said I was "nana-napped" for the event haha!  Lulu insisted the proper birthday attire is a princess gown & crown!  She sure loves her 2nd cousin Abby though!

So that is my life these days, I may have outgrown my chair but I still know how to R E L A X like the best of them. One arm up, Two arms Up, Head nod and off to snooze land I go!

Love,

I Love My Sister... and I Think She Likes Me Too!

Well People,

So new year, new Lu?   We'll not really but I guess that as I'm getting bigger Lulu likes to play with me lots more!   She likes to read me stories...

She also really likes to put me into anything that I fit in and push me around.   (I've learned to hang on... just like I do for Mom who has let me roll off the couch & bed twice!)

She also let's me help her when she's Daddy's little helper.  I get to be "Lulu's little Helper".

But she makes sure that only big girls get to hold the knives!  (Not to Momma supervise Daddy when he is laying new floors!)

We also really like to go to TESCO (Lulu's FAVORITE shop!)  She even lets me sit in the baby seat sometimes... most of the time I have to go in the other one!

We're two peas in a pod.  When we went to look at sofas for our new room Lulu liked this one..

My choice?  Well let's just say I'm a bit more "risque!"

Sadly, Mom & Dad must not be in our pod as they didn't buy a new sofa so we had to sit on our old one. At least Lulu lets me sit by her (sometimes).

She also really likes taking a bath with me now.  She REALLY likes it.  I guess I've become shark bait, splash area and target practice.

Oh well, what can I say?  Just go with the flow and then flash one of my adorable smiles!

And on those days, when Lulu is having a "not-loving the little schooching baby who keeps following her around and eating all her toys", well there is always a dog to bond with.

Don't worry Dixie I'm just going for a snooze!

Sounds good Janey think I may just join you!

Love,
Janey
