It's Blooming Everywhere!

Well folks,

This week has been a lovely week in Ireland.  The sun was shining and the flowers are coming up all over the place! I told Mom that I needed to get out and see the pretty flowers while the weather is so nice so she packed me up and we went for a walk with my Bob.

I call this look my "Who you lookin at" face!

Mom sometime put me in my bjorn as well to walk around.  People love my shades I get comments on them all the time what do you think?  Daddy thinks I look like the baby from Hangover movie! ha!

Well all these pretty flowers everywhere and a girl needs to know what they  are really like so I told Mom I wanted an up close look...

Unfortunately she wouldn't let me eat them but I do have to say they are entertaining and I think I like them!


So the other day Mom and I were shopping as our kitchen floor was being installed and Mom found a pretty headband to match my blue eyes.   I wasn't sure what to think at first...

So I had to check to give myself a good check out in the mirror....

And I decided "I AM CUUUUUTTTTE!!!!"

The Sissy Uglers

Well folks

I thought I'd share updates from my sissy uglers - ie ugly sisters Duke & Dixie.  Now they aren't really ugly but when they do the follow Mom gets mad:

5:30am           Get up and roam the house when Dad goes to work - last week they got into the garbage!
6:30am           Bark at our neighbor (a postman but not ours) who leaves in his green An Post van!
7:00am           Bark at our postman & wake me up (yes I know we have the earliest postman on the planet!)
7:00 - Dusk    Bark at any person who walks past the house, at any dog within sight or hearing distance, and any green postal van that may be going in/out of the village!

So normally I am up at these times which makes Mom not a happy camper - sorry Mom but I wake up smiling and talking so she can't get too mad at me - just my sissy uglers!

Dad and I sometimes have to take them on a walk as Mom goes nuts being home with them all day.. here I am taking them for a walk!

We walk up the canal and the first thing that happens is Dixie goes to find any old bottle for Dad to throw in the canal for fetch!

Duke usually goes mental as she is a crazy dog, she just runs wild for the first few minutes!

Duke  "Yahooooooo on a walk, on a walk, wow this is Fun, Yahoo!!"

Every few feet Dixie drops the bottle for Dad and I to pick up and throw... look at those eyes how can you resist!

When she gets out of the canal she tries to get us wet... she waits for you to come close until she decides to shake!

Duke... "still can't believe I'm on a walk.... yahhooooooo!"

Dad sometimes makes the dogs jump for the bottle... Dixie is a much better jumper than Duke even though she weighs about 1.5 times Duke!

 

Dixie sometimes let's Duke get the bottle (although not often)

It's a bird, It's a plane, It's Duke still going nutz (and too fast for Mom's camera) cause she's excited to be on a walk!

And then, when Dad and I get cold we head back home....

Dixie  "What do you mean you're cold? I'm the one swimming and I want to keep walking!"

Duke "Ok, walk over. Did you get a good picture of my good side?"

Then we head back home to peace and quiet... until the dogs see someone walk past the window that is!

St Patrick's Day Rocks

Well folks,

I had a great day today!   Dad had to work this morning so I hung around the house with Mom until he got home from the golf course.   I guess St Patrick's day is the kickoff to the golfing season so Daddy was busy!  good news is he was home for lunch so we got to spend the day together!


So folks, here we are... do you see any family resemblance?

Of course as it is Paddy's day I had to wear my green with pride!  First my new bib from my Great Granny!

Sorry but the bib is just too tasty to show ya!   When I'm not eating my bibs these days, I'm all hands! I cannot keep them out of my mouth.  Mom wonders why I like them so much as I always have drool all over my hands and chin but I told her - you try growing teeth man! 

Check out my shirt! I'm Irish through & through... that is of course until the 4th of July!

Well folks, that was a great day and this Irish Lass is off to slumber!

We're two peas in... Leprechaun Hats & Bjorns!

Well folks,

Did you know that I'm a leprechaun and so is my best buddy Brennan?  Brennan and I thought we'd show our true colours... I mean we were both born IN Ireland so that makes us Leprechauns for life right? Tomorrow is our BIG day and neither of us can wait... I'd say we can't sleep with excitement but as were both passed out in our beds it would be a lie!

So we told our Mom's to pack us up in the bjorns and take us to our shrine....

It was a bit of a walk and we decided we needed to rest for the big day tomorrow so we both took a snooze!

When we got back to Brennan's we had a bit of dinner and then we decided to show our true Irish roots!

Brennan.... "Welcome my wee little ones to the land of the green, don't you steal my gold now!"

Brennan "Oh no Lulu, I think they robbed our gold!"

Lulu "Oh well Brennan, we can get more for now let's open up these cans!"

Lulu "Whoa... Brennan I think I may have over done it on the Guinness!!"

And with that folks, I'm off to bed!

A walk along

Well folks,

These days, I'm loving the nice weather and longer daylight hours as we go for family walks along the canal.  Ireland doesn't change the clocks until the end of the month but we're still getting some lovely evening sun!

Today, Mom, Dad, Dixie, Duke and I went for a walk, I told Mom to bring the camera and we'd snap some shots!  So here I am with Mom as the walk was about to start...

The dogs love to swim!  Here's Duke on the lookout for some ducks... she LOVES to chase them!!  We think she's dreaming of Duck a l'Orange!

Shopping and Such

Well folks,

Since Mom and Dad are getting a new kitchen I've been kicked out of the house a lot lately!  This week Mom and I headed to Kildare Outlet Village and shopped a bit and then hung out at Starbucks.   The great thing about the village is it has a huge baby changing bathroom which made us happy!

(If you aren't from, or never lived in, Europe you will never appreciate the amount of bathrooms... and free bathrooms that is... that there are in the states).  

This Saturday the plastering was being done in the kitchen so Mom, Dad and I head out for the day.  Our first stop was Ikea and man, this place was huge, I needed a bit of a rest... just remember to pick me up mom, don't want people thinking I'm for sale in this place!

Next, it was off to Dundrum for another look around the place.  Dad like to look at video games, so I thought I'd go for a snooze.

Mom found this pillow in Pennys.... hahaha yea right Mom that's what you think!

Finally, the best part of the day was when we got to come back home!  It's hard being out all day Mom says she gets tired!   So Dad thought he'd play me some tunes... I love listening to him!



And on that note... I think I may just fall asleep!

Mom you're in for it when I'm a teenager!

Well folks,

Mom's done it again!  She created another knitting pattern for Raverly - "Lulu's Lucky Leprechaun Hat" and made me model it.   Now at first I wasn't sure what to think... so I did my best impression of a poor Irish lass only wanting to get some food....

Then I thought this isn't too bad Mom, I'll smile for you....

And then she did it! She made a beard for the hat!!!!   What was she thinking, I mean this doesn't look good one me right... and she keeps laughing at me (as does anyone who she makes me put it on for).

She says I'm a good model though as she's sold the pattern 12 times in the past day!  Not bad Mom, not bad.  She needs to make it in adult size so I told Daddy to get ready for modelling... he at least can run away!  All I can say is I'm not a baby forever Mom so wait for my teens to start hahahaha!


Normally Mom & I have a good time while she's on maternity leave.   In the mornings after I take a quick snooze, we get ready to go out.  I like to watch Mom comb her hair and put on her makeup.

This week I was in for a treat - SWIMMING my new FAVORITE thing in the entire world!  Mom took me to "Swim a Song" at the pool for babies & toddlers and I LOVED it!   I even blew bubbles... which wasn't bad for my first time!   Towards the end of class I was so relaxed I just happily floated around the pool it was so much fun and I can't wait to go again!  

Mom caught me right before class started - I wasn't sure what to think at this point, but boy did I like swimming!

This week our kitchen was also gutted - so Mom doesn't have anything to cook with.  She says she can't wait for our kitchen to come in at the end of the month!  She asked me to share the progress with you so I said I would since I am such a nice baaaaby! :-)

    

Well folks, I'm outta here... this is what I have to do to hide from Mom during the day!   I mean sometimes a baby just wants to be alone Mom!

Playdate in the 'Hood'

Well folks,

I went over to my friend Brennan's house today for a play date.... you may remember Brennan he was born a month before me to one of Mom's friends from Iowa who lives in Dublin now.    Mom and Rosanne compared us and I have to say maybe I should cut back on the boobs for a bit... I mean look at the size of me and he's a month older!

Well the excitement of the day... not only did I get to go to Brennan's but I got to see where it all went down this weekend.   You see Brennan lives in an great new development in Smithfield - an area of Dublin really developed over the past few years but the trouble is the once a month Smithfield Horse Market that comes to town.   All the travelers bring in their *horses* to sell and trade - they don't care that this is a new city centre area they still come in and sell once a month (leaves a bit of a mess behind).   This weekend two of the travelling families got into a brawl and there was a shooting and people slashed by hooks!   Luckily Brennan & Rosanne here inside for the day and didn't hear any of it.   You can read about the shooting and see the gorey photos here.  Mom warned you - one of the guys got a slash hook to the arm that just about took it off - European Newspaper = spare no gore!

So, of course Brennan and I wanted to see where the action went down so Mama and Rosanne put us in our bjorns and out the front door of their apartment to take a quick snap shot.   Then we walked around the town a bit - we had fun but snoozed most of the time.

You may think I'm snoozin' here but really I'm making my gansta face!  

We're good buddies though & I can't wait to see him soon!  For more photo of us check out Brennan's blog here!

Brennan "Yes, pretend like you don't see them maybe they'll go and leave us in peace!"

And with all that excitement you think Mom would have just brought me home but no... we went to Tesco to meet Daddy and get some food which would have been good fun.   But Mom is NOT nice... walking past the banana aisle she spotted a scale and decided to stick me on it to see what I weigh. 

Mom... what if they think I'm a turnip!!!  I don't want anyone to buy me!

She's a mean Mom!!!!   And I have to report I weighed in at 7.3kgs.... 16.09lbs!  Now.. need to find me some dinner!
