Not the MAMA!!!!!!!

Here is my favorite person in the whole world.... "Not the Mama!!!"  (I'm the baby, gotta love me :-) )

 We like to hang out and watch Rugby together...  we would watch motorbikes but they are finished for the season.

I can't wait until I am big enough to help out in the shed... I'm going to have some good fun out there especially since Daddy installed his cast iron stove this weekend and now it's nice and toasty out there.

(BTW I could win a double chin contest of the world with this photo!!)

Damn... wish my arms were long enough to reach the remote...

And finally, thought I'd share that not only is mom mean enough to put me in jail behind bars each night but now she has a new "straight jacket" that she puts me in.   Hmmm.... if it weren't so comfy I'd complain!

Helping out around the house

Well today I helped my mom do some laundry around the house.  Here I am helping out!

And then... is it a smile or is it gas?   Mom says it's gas and she has proof... uh oh!  As soon as she figures out how to upload a video I maybe in trouble!

And finally, I decided to do some dancing before my morning snooze!  (Yes I am wearing one of Mom's baby outfits but as she was born in June I had to wear tights and a long sleeve shirt under it.  I think I am much cuter than Mom!)

I'm 3 weeks and almost as big as my bear!

Hi Everyone

I'm 3 weeks old today - can you believe it?  Mom can't.   I'm growing too - mom can't find her measuring tape so she is going to go buy one to measure how long I am. 

Look at me with my bear  (well actually it's Mom's bear that my great-granny made for her).

Here I am when I am upset that mom is dressing me in weird outfits again.

And here I am just about to doze for a quick snooze.

Faces Only a Mama Could Love

Hi everyone

I've had a good week... been out on the town a few times with Mom which has been nice and I now weigh over 9lbs so I am a chunky baby.  I gained a pound in the last week - no wonder why mom thinks that all she does is feed the "boobie monster" :-)

Mom took these pictures of me... she says I make funny faces.

Can you clap your feet?  I can!!

Lazy Days

I've been quite lazy these past few days.    I eat and then I sleep.  I'm a good sleeper though - mom says I sleep between 3.5 - 4.5 hours at a time!  I love my snoozing!   I think I am starting to take after my sisters - especially Daisy Duke. 

I also love hanging out in my mamaroo....

Good news is the public health nurse stopped by yesterday and I now weigh over 8lbs!   Thus I have gained my birth weight plus some in 2 weeks.   Not bad, not bad at all!   I also requested my Irish Birth Certificate this week and Mommy took a passport photo of me.

Not sure I am liking my passport photos too much but as I have to have my eyes open and no hands or anything else in the photo this was the best she could do.   I'll have this as my Irish passport for 3 years and the states passport for 5 years! 

Mom says my head looks huge as I was lying down in the photo but I am much cuter in person!

Lulu is HUNGRY!

Well everyone, Mom wanted to post these photos of me - she is not the nicest mom in the world taking photos of me crying.  She wanted everyone to know that this is the face she sees most of the time as when I am hungry I AM HUNGRY!  I mean I want my dinner NOW and scream my heart out until I get it!

After my breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, midnight snack, 4am snack, pre-breakfast snack, I am usually a happy baby who just chills out...

I had some fun this weekend as I got to go on my first outing with Mom & Dad.   We went to run errands and then stopped to have a coffee - it was great!

Finally, my first visitors called to the house - Vinny & Michelle.  It was lots of fun, Vinny told Mom that he'd babysit anytime day or night (he knows that he'd likely be the last person Mom would call to babysit thus his offer!) 

Most of the time I snooze.... here is a photo Mom took of the sleeping beauties - she had to put me on the couch to get me in the photo.

One Week Old Lulu

I'm a week old today!  Mom & Dad can't believe it!

Mom tried taking some photos of me this morning but it was really raining and the light wasn't great.  Plus I decided to pee on Dad, then sprayed him with a poo and then finally peed again.   Here is a picture of me "in action"

And here is what Dad looked like when I was finished.... Sorry Dad I'll have a think about what I can do to you next time.

A Week in the Life of Lulu

Well world, here I am.  Thought I'd share my week with you....


Thursday Oct 28th -

Well, I woke up this morning with two doctors grabbing my legs - didn't know what was going on and all the sudden I was pulled from mom's belly like a upside down Superman!  Boy did I scream when they were cleaning me off - even the Dr's thought I had one healthy set of lungs!  But then I dozed off for a good nap!




A few hours later Dad changed my first diaper and boy was it a messy one!  Fully of gooey brown poo and I screamed the entire time of the changing!  Thanks Dad though my bum felt much better afterwards!

Friday Oct 29th -

I had my first visitors... My Nana & Grandad from Kilkenny came to see me today! 

In the afternoon I sat around with my Mom & Dad... pondering all that life has to offer.

Saturday Oct 30th -

A big day today!!  First, I had to support the Hawks today with my Iowa Gear (Thanks Aunt Julie!)  its now my lucky Iowa Gear as the Hawks topped off Michigan State!  

My Uncle Paul and Kirsite stopped by and gave me a baby bouquet.  And then the best part of the day... Daddy gave me my first bath today!  Neither Daddy or I were too sure at first....

But then I sat back and relaxed and let Daddy go to town....



This bath thing is FANTASTIC man!!!  Can't wait for my next one!



Later my first friend, Brennan came to visit.  Mom & Rosanne are friends who knew each other at Iowa and Brennan is a month older than me.  He came dressed as a Bat - we're going to be good friends!

Sunday Oct 31st-

Happy Halloween everyone!  Today was nice and relaxing... got to hand out with Mom& Dad all day in my Halloween outfit from Grammie!

I spent most of the day in the sunlight snoozin' on Dad to help get rid of a little baby jaundice. Dad thinks I look like a little chicken!

Monday Nov 1st -

I got to leave the Coombe today to go home!!  We took a quick family photo before we left.  Last night was my worst night this week - I was up since 3am and did not let Mommy sleep as you can see in the photo (sorry Mommy!)

I got loaded into my car seat... wow I'm tiny!

I was so excited & wore my sweater & hat my Grammie made for me - its still a little big though so I'll have to do some more growing!  I snoozed all the way home.

When we arrived home, I got to meet my sisters - they are great and they love to smell me, Dixie really likes me but Duke likes to sleep alot!

Tuesday Nov 2nd -

Today was my first full day at home.  Everyone was so busy they didn't take any photos of me :-(

Wednesday Nov 3rd -

Today the public health nurse called out to check on Mommy &Me - as all Irish babies get a nurse to call out once a week instead of going into the doctor every week.  Good news I'm gaining weight - back up to 7.1oz from 6.12oz leaving the hospital so Mommy's feeding me well!!!

Dad played me to sleep with his banjo music before dinner...

Rumor is there is another bath tonight... so see ya later folks, it's been a good week!
