Cookies & Candy... Almost Christmas

Well folks,

Mom and I made Christmas cookies this weekend.   I was a really good helper most of the time I sat in my chair and gave directions.. More Sugar there Mama!

Sometimes Mom would let me lick the spoons... at first I wasn't so sure but when Mom gave me one covered in chocolate she turned around and before you knew it I looked like this...

IMG_1606

It tasted so good I started to ask for more and Mom said I had enough... I didn't like that answer so much...

IMG_1607

Last night after I made a big mess eating spaghetti and green beans Daddy said if I gave him my cheesy smile that he would give me a cookie... so I flashed him a big one...

IMG_1598

I was really happy when he handed me a gingersnap...

IMG_1591

I then decided to stuff the cookie into my mouth as fast as I could... it was really tasty!

IMG_1594

I asked for more but Mom said no, so I thought if I made my pirate face that they might be swayed.... "Aye give me that there cookie!"

IMG_1573

It didn't work... I'll have to try harder next time!   Today after my nap, Mom said we were going to go and see Santa so I put on my Christmas dress and got ready to go...

IMG_1625

Mom tried to take a photo of me but I refused to smile so Mom gave me a candy cane and it was much better!

IMG_1628

I was really excited to go and see Santa!

IMG_1658

We went off to the centre to see him and guess what the line was HUGE! Mom and Dad asked me if I wanted to wait, and I took a look around and said, nah... I was really really happy though when I got a balloon - it made my day!

IMG_1659

In the end I was ok with it as my eyes were all gunky today - like they were when I 1st started creche so Mom said she'd take me to see Santa during the week.... I guess I'll just have to wait.   Until then I'll have to watch the sky to see if he drives past my house!

It's Christmas Time in the Village....

Well folks,

Happy St Nicks Day everyone! Luckily Mom did not make me dress up this year.... she says I should be on the watch out next year though!   I told her in return I'd sleep through the night so we'll see!

Well was I in for a surprise this weekend when I went down for my nap on Saturday Mom and Dad were busy bees!  I woke up and there was a tree in the middle of the living room waiting for me to decorate it!

I helped Mom choose which ornaments we should put on the tree....

IMG_1454

Then I helped Dad choose just the right place to put them....

IMG_1462

Oops... 1st tragedy was a bone ornament that lost a tiny bit of a bow... Sorry Dixie!  Here is the last photo of the bone alive before I whacked it off the tree!

IMG_1480

Do you know how Baby Jesus gets to our crib?  He has a special ride....

IMG_1489

Daddy and I think it's great... he comes in style to the Dunne's house!

IMG_1487

Then on Sunday we went down to the centre of the village as there was rumors of Santa coming buy.   I had to make sure I looked my best so I wore one of Mom's old wool coats....

IMG_1514

When we walked down to the village I waited with Dixie & Duke (also in their Christmas best) for the big man to appear.   We listened to carols, watched the lighting of the village, the lighting of the Christmas tree and then down the hill came the man of the hour... SANTY!!!

And do you know how he arrived into Robertstown?  My Great Papa sure would be proud!  (You can't see him but he's behind the kids)

IMG_1541

We had a great weekend... now Daddy tells me I have to be a good girl for Santy to come see me...   Could I be anything but?

Mommy says YES as I know have learned to throw a tantrum if i don't get my own way...

IMG_1502

I sit there and slowly make the worst possible faces I can until I forget about what I was crying for and move on... (Mommy is not nice she just laughs at me and takes photos!)

IMG_1506

But I'm normally really good.  And holy cow am I learning new things.   This weekend, I learned if I sit in one of my carts and move the wheels I can ride around like a person in a wheelchair.   I love to roll around, I'm very very proud of myself when I figure this out every time.

What a great weekend.... and here I am with my favorite person in the whole world.... Daddy!

My Latest Adventures in Leprechaun Land...

Well folks,

Boy do I have a lot to fill you in on!  Last week my Uncle JJ and Aunt Nicole came all the way over the sea to visit sweet little me!!!  I was excited to show them around so Mom, Dad and I drove to the airport to collect them and we headed right into Dublin to show them around! (The best way to fight the jet lag is just keep going says Mom)

We headed into the Guinness Museum....

IMG_3035

I definitely love me some Guinness... if you don't believe me you should ask Mom to show you the video of me sticking my hands in Grandad's pint... Num Num Num!

IMG_3039

We had some lunch as well, I have to say I love eating out... especially when Mom let's me have some chips!  I always look for them first on the menu but Mom usually says no....

IMG_3021

Here JJ and Nicole are enjoying their first pint in Ireland with Dad....

IMG_3042

I almost took my 1st step in the Guinness factory... everyone agreed I took my first backward step... but not a real one!

IMG_3044

We then walked around Dublin to show Uncle JJ and Aunt Nicole all the sights... we had to take a pit stop to get some coffee in the afternoon to keep everyone going.  I filled Aunt Nicole in on all the gossip from the land of the green...

IMG_3045

Afterwards we went on a walk around the town and Mom bought me a new book.  I read it to Uncle JJ on the luas on the way home as his goodnight story as they were tired from their trip...

IMG_3047

So after I put Uncle JJ and Aunt Nicole to bed, I hung out with Mom and Dad.  The next day we all drove down to Kilkenny to see my Nana & Grandad.    Mom dropped me off with Nana and the rest of the gang went touring in Kilkenny.  Rumor has it that Dad (after 33 years of never going) actually visited AND went INSIDE Kilkenny castle... can you believe it?   Uncle JJ and Daddy did their best leprechaun leaps to celebrate!

Then Mom and Dad ditched me with my Nana for 3 days (no complaining here) and Mom came to get me on Wednesday so I could be sure to celebrate Turkey Day with everyone (you already saw me as a turkey!)

We had a good dinner together, watched the Packers WIN...

IMG_3062

And took a post-turkey dinner nap with my Uncle JJ...

IMG_1430

On Friday, Mom & Dad took the day off so we all headed up to Newgrange.  When we arrived to the tour centre and boarded the bus, I buckled myself in and made sure to have my camera ready...

IMG_3068

Wow Newgrange is cool.... it's 4000 years old (older than the pyramids in Egypt)...

IMG_1433

It was really, REALLY, windy that day though.... Aunt Nicole was barley visible in her jacket...

IMG_1436

Now, you can't take photos inside but wow is it neat.  When they turned off the lights to demonstrate how the light comes in on the winter solstice I went "ooooooohhhh!" and made everyone laugh!   Now since it opened at the turn of the century, it's had millions of visitors... but I bet you I was the first little froggy to go inside!

IMG_1435

I really liked spending the day with my family... we had lots of fun!

IMG_1448

I'm going to miss my Uncle JJ and Aunt Nicole... I told them I'd see them in the new year.  I can't wait!

So that's all for me folks, but don't worry I have more to come before the end of the weekend!

She's done it again folks... Gobble Gobble

Well folks,

I thought I was going to escape this year... now that I can roll around I figured that Mom wouldn't dress me as a turkey and stick me on a plate.

But I was wrong!  At least this year I've not been shot yet!

IMG_1371

Check out those tail feathers!

IMG_1382

Damn, I make a cute turkey though!

IMG_1402

Now, I wonder what's for dinner?

Picasso, Rembrant & Lulu

Well Folks,

Sorry for the delay Mom is working on my blog book thus I didn't have access to the computer for a while.  But I'm back... at least for now... until the new year and then I may hand over to Mom.

So what have I been up to lately?  Well let me tell you this baby has found a new hidden talent... painting!

Here I am checking out new subjects to paint....

And I have to study the canvas to make sure I get it just right!

I make sure to mix the colours to just the purplish side of blue...

And of course when I'm finished I not only have a beautiful painting but I have to say a new look for Lulu!

And of course I need a close up of the two cutest people in Robertstown!

This weekend, Mom and Dad took me for a walk.   We went back to Donadea Forest to have a stroll around... we even brought my furry sisters!

Here is Dad with his two best friends... Dixie of course poses for photos but Duke was too interested in the Ducks!

Half way through our walk Mom found a dungeon to put me into... I told her no thanks so we just took this photo instead!

And finally, Mom and Dad kept calling me Elmer during our walk.... can't figure out why?  Maybe it has something to do with my new cap?

So for now folks, that's it but rumor has it more videos of me walking around are coming soon.   I may just walk on my own... I keep teasing Mom but haven't taken my 1st step yet!

Over and Out... Love Lulu
