Best Year of My Life

Well folks,

It's been a year!  That is right!  At 10:00am on the button I turned 1 today!!

Let's re-cap some of the highlights of Stinky Baby this year:

• Was Born and as an added bonus I had all my fingers, toes, basically 1 perfect little squashed baby!
• Was the centre of attention of at least 1 dinner party... ah the Turkey is done roasting everyone!
• Met The Dali Lama
• Met a Hollywood Star.... "when I wake up in the morning and the 'larm gives out a warning"
• Learned how to hold up my head, hold my own bottle, roll over, sit, crawl, stand up by myself, walk along things, fall down on my bum, blow kisses, find my nose, wave hello and bye and tell everyone how big I am!
•  I learned how to give a great speech especially the following:
• Ouuuuuuuut!  (While pointing at the door for the dogs)
• Ruuuuuf   (When asked what do doggies say)
• Dadadadadadadada and the odd occasional Mama!
• Flew Once Around the World (literally)
• I've flown 25,004 miles and the distance around is 24,901 (Round trip Dublin - Chicago 3 times, Round trip Minneapolis - LA, California once!)
• Be an Accomplished World Wide Author
• That's right folks, this Stinky Baby's blog has been hit over 13,000 times in a year! Not too shabby!

It's definitely been the best year of my life... I've really only had 1 so not much to compare it to but it's still been a good one don't you think?

There are Witches in the Air!

Well folks,

Mom and I flew home from the states on Sunday.  We were going to use my broomstick, but Mom thought my arms may get tired of holding it up so we decided to go on Aer Lingus instead!


So there may not be that many witches in the air... but there is definitely one in the pumpkin!


Hmm... I wonder if I fit into this pumpkin....

Oh, I think I can squeeze the bum in...

Yea, I did it... man this stuff inside feels good on the piggies..

Hey Mom, check me out I'm in the pumpkin!

Hmmm.... I wonder what raw pumpkin tastes like?

Yup, that was not great... but damn, I'm cute in here!

So, it is pretty cool when you can fit into a pumpkin isn't it? And guess what everyone, Mom says tomorrow is a very special day... first I was born so you know that is always a good things and second it is the Halloween Party in my creche so rumor has it I'm in for a good outfit tomorrow! (Mom took the day off to spend with me, but I don't want to miss the party so I'm stopping in for a few hours at the creche!)


Well folks, I'm off to bed so be on the look out for small little witches... you never know where they could show up!

On Vacation & Learning....

Well folks,

I'm enjoying my holidays hanging around with Grammie & Gramps.   I'm learning all kinds of new things to do as well as it's really fun around here.

First, I learned how to rock in my own little chair....

When I'm in my chair I'm really happy but I have to think about not falling out so this is the best I could do for a smile at Mom!

I also learned how to wear my new kicks... Mom bought me a few pairs of shoes and I'm really liking the new piggy covers!

I also learned how to get up the stairs and how to get out of my rocking chair!  Here I am about to get off....

And off! Hope the knees didn't mind too much!

It's fun to be outside.... I learned the Gramps's flowers don't taste very well but they are sure fun to pick! 

I really like to play with new toys as well, especially Grammie's McCall... Here I am giving him a big hug!

And finally, I learned how to sleep with my butt up in the air... it's a great way to get some zzz's!

5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Fence

Well folks,

I guess there are only 2 little pumpkins sitting on Grammie & Gramps' laps.

"Hey Derek, try a taste of the pumpkin skin!"

That's right folks, that's me as one of those pumpkins, the other is my cousin Derek.  We went to an apple & pumpkin orchard this weekend.

"Hey Lulu, let's go check out the pumpkins!"

So Derek and I headed to the pumpkin patch but it was a long walk so we had to take a pit stop on our bench.

"Derek this bench is perfect size for us don't you think?"

"Definitely Lulu!  Now do you think we can walk all the way over there to the pumpkins?"

I told Derek that we could hitch a ride on my tractor... check it out I'm a great driver!

On the way over to the pumpkins, I had to make another pit stop to talk to my new friend, Billy.

I really liked the animals - a bit too much as I kept trying to grab them.  Mom had to keep telling me they are not my sisters Dixie and Daisy!

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch!  So I was on a mission to find my "Great Pumpkin".   First - I tried to give it a bit of a taste....

    

That didn't go over so well, so I sent Uncle Timmy on a mission and he came back with the winner - my 35lb Great Pumpkin!

I had to give it one check over to make sure it was the right size...



It was heavy so thankfully Uncle JJ carried it back for me.  My little legs haven't learned how to walk yet so I was happy JJ was there!

While JJ carried the pumpkin, I got a lift with my Auntie Nicole.  She's great especially as she got the "Lulu Flu Lu" that is going around.   Mom has no idea why everyone who comes in contact with me gets the bug but she's the latest victim!

After all that carrying, I was beat... and I mean beat.   I had to take a little cap nap...

Mom, said it was more than a cat nap and that I passed out... but I'm not sure... hmm....

After that we went back to Uncle JJ's & Auntie Nicole's house.  Derek had some squash while I snoozed.... he's such a good eater!

Well on that note, I hear there are witches in the air so I need to get this little pumpkin to bed for the night.

Cousins are fun.... sort of

Well folks,

Derek came to see me on Tuesday night on his way back to MN.  Mom said it would be fun to go and play outside as since I've never played in leaves before I definitely said yes please!

It's fun to crawl around the leaves as they crunch under your hands!

And there are so many leaves - I just didn't know which way to go!

Derek likes the leaves as well but he really like Uncle JJ's baby toys.  I was playing with one outside but then....

"Hmmm better let him have it he is a bit bigger than me!"

Derek... "Hiya Lulu this thing is cool!"

Lulu "Wait I think that I want it back, I think I can take him down!"

"Oh no, he is really strong!"

So I decided to crawl around...

Then, I had to stop and see Grammie and Gramps...  Say Cheese Grammie

And Gramps say "Cheese too"

Derek wanted to show me how big he was...

And then, I thought I'd play a little Halloween trick on my big cousin....

"Hey Derek over here check out this toy"

"Oh no no no.... I don't think so!"

"Ok Lulu good one!"

It was a good night playing with Derek.   Afterward we went inside and had some pizza... nummy!

Surprise Everyone....

Well folks,

I surprised everyone on Friday and flew to Chicago.   Well I didn't fly the airplane as they said I was too short and I guess you have to be out of nappies to be a pilot so I may have at least a year.   But I brought Mommy to go to my Great-Grandma's 90th birthday party!

I had a good time at the party and wore my party dress again!

It was fun to see a lot of my family when we were home.  I also got to see my Auntie Ellen... mom wanted to name me Ellen but it was one of the names that Daddy veto-ed.   Oh well, I got my photo taken with her instead... too bad I didn't smile (I was too busy looking at the dogs that were running around!)

But one of my favorite people to see at the party was my favorite cousin Derek.... lots more to come tomorrow on our fun together but here's a snapshot when we finally met up again.
